Introduction

For my topic I will be discussing everything that has to do with The Book of Mormon musical, mostly about what goes on onstage but a little bit of what goes on offstage also.  I chose this topic because I've seen the Book of Mormon twice, one on Broadway and one in Boston, and both performances were fantastic.  I would consider myself a musical person and I've seen many musicals.  In my opinion, the best musical out there right now is The Book of Mormon.  It’s comical, has talented actors, beautifully written pieces of music, fantastic dancing, and many more.  It’s as close to perfect as a musical can get.
By choosing this topic I hope to inspire people to go buy a ticket for a magical experience.  If they don’t want to do that, then they can buy the soundtrack.  I bought the soundtrack and I can honestly say that I listen to it for fun all the time.  However, the soundtrack doesn't include all the songs in the show.  So if you want to get the full experience, buy a ticket and go see The Book of Mormon today!

  1. Chris, such an interesting topic that you selected to blog about! I have several friends that have seen The Book of Mormon and they’ve all said that it was fabulous! I’d love to learn see some information on what the show is about, what it’s based on. It obviously is religious in nature but to what end? How is it being received by members of the Mormon Church? How is this show ranking financially? Is it drawing in the crowds as did Les Mis and Cats? You’re off to a great start with your blog; I’m looking forward to returning soon to read (and learn) more! 2. I learned about the Book of Mormon musical pretty recently. One of my friends went to see it a couple of weekends ago. It from what he told me, it sounds like a pretty entertaining and comical musical. I am now really interested and if I get the chance I will probably buy a ticket to go see it.
